This weekend, my fellow Canadians and I celebrate Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving isn't a holiday I have looked forward to, or remembered fondly, in the past; it was a long weekend that arrived all of the sudden with cold weather and the stress of upcoming midterms and giant design deadlines. This year, as my reunited sisters and I went for a little outdoor adventure—a holiday tradition we started last christmas—we breathed in fresh air on the perfect sunny autumn day, and I decided that Thanksgiving may be my favourite time of year.
— What I wore —
Sweater, shirt, jewellery, and booties: Thrifted
Big sweaters + shirt-tails is one of my favourite combos for the current weather. Sidenote: my other favourite combos also involve a big sweater.
My latest thrift store footwear find & serious obsession: these booties.
This one's a thrifter as well; thrifted jeans and awesome flannel shirt.
Especially thankful for days like this spent with people like this.
Being outdoors surrounded by nature is where I feel my peace, and where I am overwhelmed by feelings of thankfulness. Post outdoor adventure, being gathered around great food (and pies!) with family and loved ones I am again reminded of how blessed my life has become.
Where do you guys find your peace? When do you feel most thankful for what life has given you?
