Winter Formal

Guys, it's been cold. The kind of winter cold that makes you debate how important your job is to you because it causes you to get out of bed and go outside and that's just ridiculous in this cold. But then I think about last winter—and then it doesn't feel so cold.

So needless to say with Saturday's cold weather, I didn't make it past the woodpile to snap these outfit shots.

— What I wore —

Turtleneck: Aritzia (here) Tulle Maxi: thrifted (similar in dress form) |  Clutch: thrifted (similar for $14 here) Necklace: old (similar here)

The Maxi Skirt is one of my favourite pieces for all-year round wear. In the winter, I'll pair it with stacked heeled booties (you know, to keep it out of the snow) and layer some opaque nylons or "thermal" tights underneath.

And you may have noticed this turtleneck looks familiar (from my last style post). Well, I have no qualms with wearing pieces you love over and over again. In fact, I've been really intrigued about the idea of a "capsule wardrobe" (see here). Will I be trying it? I'm not sure yet—but expect a post to come!

As always, love hearing your feedback! What are your favourite ways to dress-up when the weather is cold?

PS: I've noticed there's quite a few new of you out there! Feel free to leave a comment, or drop me an e-mail to say hi :)
