Snow covered path

Layering is my winter lifeline. I'm definitely more of a carefree-sundress-and-wide-brim-hat kind of girl and less of a wear-sufficient-clothing-or-the-air-will-hurt-you kind of girl. But, something I do look forward to about winter-dressing (perhaps the only thinkg) is layering my pieces together in new ways.

Coat: Danier Sweater: Zara Blouse: thrifted | Over-the-knee Boots: Frye (available here)Eagle necklace: thrifted (similar here)

This thrifted lace-cuffed blouse has been a favourite layering piece of mine (styled here as well); just the right length and I love the pretty sleeve detail peeking out. When hunting for my winter wardrobe, I always keep an eye out for pieces with subtle details along the edges for this peek-a-boo purpose.

Did you guys notice my hair actually has a style? I think this is the second time on here, my hair has been anything but however it air-dried that day. Styled or not, still as messy as always.

So tell me, what do you look for when layering?
