If you've been following along for a while, you probably know that Jon (my boyfriend/best friend/frequent photographer of outfits) lives a bit over an hour from the Toronto area where I live. We have a short-long-distance relationship of sorts. Some days an hour away feels not so far at all. Other days, when I drive the 100 km, along highways and across water-spanning bridges, it feels as though it's a world away.
Prime example of this: when the world I enter looks like Narnia.
— What I wore —
There's something I love about wearing white in the winter. I would like to say it's a nice contrast against all the dark of winter, but to say that when my pants are more or less camouflaging into the background of these pictures seems a little inaccurate...
These jeans aren't quite white, but a very light blue. And if you want to try out the idea of white pants in the winter, a not-quite-white, like these, is the best place to start (also a warmer creamier white is a great option). Keeping covered up (with boots, turtlenecks, big sweaters, etc..), and pairing with light and dark greys is a great way to winterize your white pants.
My outfits cool and all, but these trees...
I couldn't stop smiling with this beautiful world around me.
I spent my Saturday wearing white and running around town, and my Sunday racing a storm from Narnia back to the city (storm caught up with me halfway and the one hour drive became 2 and a half). It was so sad to have our weekend cut short because of the snow, but editing these photos reminds me how beautiful snow can be. How did you spend your weekend?
Do you wear your whites in the winter? How do you 'winterize' your whites?
