Vintage Fur

If you've been around these parts for a while, you know that the bulk of my wardrobe is via secondhand shops. (Why am I so obsessed with all things thrifted and vintage? See an oldie post here.) It had been a while since I went out scouting some new editions for my vintage collection—due to my trying-to-buy-less goal and general crazy life—but this Saturday a trip to the secondhand store reminded me of my love for vintage coats. I definitely recommend checking out your local thrift store's coat section. I have my splurged-on coat for the -30° days when priority one is staying warm, but sometimes a girl wants options—you know, when she's not at risk for hypothermia. People generally invest in their coats and  keep them in good condition, making for some high quality pieces at bargain prices at secondhand shops.

Plus vintage coats from decades past were way awesome.

I let this coat be the star that it is, and paired it with the simplest of pieces. Also parted my hair so far over that I no longer have use for my left eye.

Have you been thrifting lately? What are some of your favourite vintage pieces? What are some of your favourite fashion eras?

Happy Monday all!
