If I were to summarize the weather the last two months it would be with this turtleneck. This wool turtleneck is by far my warmest sweater and has become my winter uniform for the days when it's too cold to get out of bed, and the days when it's a few degrees warmer than that but still -20°C. As much as I love this turtleneck, it is one uniform I'm ready to retire.
— What I've been wearing —
I envisioned wearing this turtleneck at ski slopes and in log cabins—thinking it was too sporty and too warm to end up in my everyday closet. But then, there were many cold days, and then the heat in my office went on the fritz, and then I found myself asking "can I wear this sweater for the 500th time this winter?" The answer—yes, always yes.
To summarize, when I wasn't wearing the outfits you've already seen me wearing on here this winter, I was probably wearing this turtleneck—you know, unless it was one of the five warmer days.
Now that it's March (what!?), I realized that this sweater I've been wearing the last two months had yet to make it onto an outfit post—and thought I better rectify it immediately. Because this blog is a place for real outfits—how I make my secondhand pieces, like this turtleneck, work for my everyday and my environment. And this turtleneck is about as everyday as it's been getting for me.
What's currently on repeat in your closet? Are you ever surprised by the pieces you end up wearing all the time, like I was with this turtleneck?
Hoping this week is a great start to an even better month for you xx
