Finding ways to simplify + streamline my every day has been my most recent goal. After doing a massive closet clean-out (that you might remember me going on about like it was my life's mission) I've realized that I don't want to get myself to that place again. That place is holding up something I bought a year ago with the tags still on, knowing I shouldn't keep it, but feeling enormous guilt over the waste of money and energy. Even my $10 thrift store steals—guilt. So as I replenish my closet this spring, I am asking different questions: will this simplify my wardrobe and life?
And the pieces I answer YES! to that question are the no-nonsense pieces I could throw on with jeans, sandals, boots, under a cardigan, with a jacket, with no need for accessories. The kind of pieces that just work. Or they're the pieces where I say "if I buy this awesome brown cardigan I will get rid of the 5 so-so brown cardigans I have" and then actually do it.
And a simpler wardrobe means more room to enjoy the simple and beautiful things in life.

What questions will you be asking while shopping this spring? And what simple things are you looking to enjoy?
Happy Monday. Hope this week has something beautiful in store for you!
