Spring Date

I don't hate Mondays. I also don't not hate Mondays, but let's stick to the first point here. On Mondays I am still reliving the weekend's adventures, steak dinner, and ice cream eating. On Mondays I am refreshed from taking a break from work and spending time with people I love. On Mondays I am hopeful for everything this week has in store for me (when I'm not dreading knowing this week has too much in store for me). As I write this on a Monday morning, I'm feeling like Mondays are a lot like spring.

This outfit was worn on Jon and my most recent "fancy" date. We spend most of our dates going on walks and hikes, getting coffee or ice cream, or cuddled up watching a movie or our latest TV addiction—which are all my favourite activities. But every now and then we have our fancy dates. And those dates are when my outfit pulls from the professional and romantic sides of my wardrobe. The professional trouser with the billowy silk blouse—I love combining these two.

And here's a bonus of my handsome date and trusty blog photographer. How do you like the plaid and tie combo? I thought he looks pretty spiffy myself ;)
