Springtime Fresh

The colder months are for cozy fabrics I could (and often do) fall asleep in, but for me, spring marks the beginning of denim season. And frankly, I couldn't wait another day to pull this piece of denim out of hibernation.

Of course, it's not quite jean jacket weather here in Ontario. Luckily, I've bought this one oversized (exactly how I like my denim) so it can fit overtop of my thickest sweaters. Pulling it on reminded me of bonfires, camping trips, drive-in movies, and a very special first date—all the summer adventures I've had in it over the past two years.

I know we're hardly into spring, but now I've gotten myself really excited for summer.

It's funny, now that our snow has started to melt, it looks like fall again; yellow grass, orange leaves. Maybe this is always how it goes, but being a blogger has made me a lot more aware of what statements my environment is making.

Do you have a season for denim? Or a favourite piece you're looking forward to wearing?

As always, love you guys for being here. Happy Tuesday!
