Simple tee + a statement

Look ma, no coat! (Okay there was a coat as you will see down below.) The weather has finally climbed high enough to sport single layers in the studio, and I have been living in soft and relaxed cottons like these. And light shoes! I think losing the clunky footwear is one of my favourite spring transitions.

When Happiness Boutique offered to send me something of my choosing from their adorable shop I was surprised to find myself coming back to this statement necklace (I've always thought of myself as fairly minimal in the jewellery department.) As it turns out, I've been obsessed with it, and have been adding this, and other statement sparklies, to everything from my simple tees and jeans to lace dresses. Reminding me that minimalism isn't an aesthetic—that minimalism can be having one statement necklace, like this one, that just works.

I like to always mix-up how I wear my pieces, rarely wearing the exact same outfit twice. I find this keeps me from getting sick of my wardrobe and wanting to buy new clothes that I don't need. But this outfit I really love. And will be wearing it again and again—down to the necklace.

Do you wear the same outfits or like to mix it up? What's your jewellery style?

Happy Monday beautiful!
