The elements + the go-to's

It's a beautiful sunny day. Okay not sunny, but it's a beautiful overcast day. I've just spent the morning hiking through a gorge, soaking up the sun (okay yes there was no sun) on my bare arms. Go home, clean-up, and go back out to take outfit shots twenty minutes later, and now the wind is howling, the skies are dark, and there is a chilling cold in the air. Typical. Style blogger problems am I right?

So I grabbed my trusty leather jacket and braved the winds in an attempt to get an outfit shot where my shirt wasn't  blown up over my head. Was I successful? Well, you be the judge.

Does this outfit look familiar (ahem, here)? I believe in having some go-to silhouettes, where I just switch up a piece or two. Like this formula: flats, rolled jeans, high-neck tee, and statement necklace. Today I switched up the top half from what you saw last time. Having some go-to combinations, let's you wear something a little different without much effort or planning. Another one of mine: jeans and a-line tunics/dresses (here, here, + here). There is an amazing resource for developing your own outfit formulas over on into-mind.
